On 22 November 2022, Andrea (EI-JKU) and Candela (LOBA) had the opportunity to attend an SSH cluster event at the CINEA premises in Brussels, which brought together the coordinators and dissemination managers of the DIALOGUES sister projects.
The event started with a policy session where representatives from the European Commission gave an overview of the current policy framework. This set the tone for the day and highlighted the importance of policy coherence in driving societal progress.
This was followed by the Societal Readiness Level (SRL) concept, a thought-provoking topic presented by experts from DG RTD. The brainstorming session revolved around the definition and practical implications of SRL, sparking interesting discussions and perspectives from participants.
The core of the event consisted of presentations from the sister projects at different stages of their life cycle. It was particularly interesting to observe the main dissemination/utilisation activities planned by each project.
Perhaps the most collaborative part of the day was the synergy session, where participants brainstormed on potential technical and dissemination synergies. This interactive exercise fostered meaningful connections, aligning similar project objectives and exploring opportunities for collaboration.
Finally, a representative from the LIFE funding programme gave an overview of this alternative funding instrument. I
Looking back, the SSH Cluster event was not only informative but also inspiring. It underlined the value of collaborative teamwork, innovation and continuous learning between different projects in driving societal change.
